At last – the master of the new Exile Parade record has arrived at the headquarters of Suburban Records! The band’s debut album Hit The Zoo is set to hit the streets on February 2^nd. The release will coincide with a Dutch tour.

Exile Parade first appeared on the scene with 2009’s EP Brothel Ballet, which was produced by Owen Morris (Oasis). The guys immediately stand out with their bravado, captured in catchy and hard-hitting tunes bringing together the best Britpop has to offer. The track, Fire Walk With Me, was selected by 3voor12 as Single of the Week.

Multiple shows ensued, with the performance at London Calling in Amsterdam being the most special. Exile Parade have also toured China, playing shows in front of thousands of fans. Music of the band is featured in a wide variety of movies and tv shows, like Skins and Screwed.

Hit The Zoo will be preceded by the single Moviemaker.

Behind That Locked Door Sessions

Exile Parade invites you to peek Behind That Locked Door. Once a week for the next month the band will give fans rare insight into the bubble that is Exile Parade, with informal acoustic performances of some of their favorite songs.
The first session features Lomax and Chris at the band’s practice space in Warrington, doing The Beatles’ “You Never Give Me Your Money.”

The second session features Lomax doing The Verve’s ‘On Your Own’ in the bathroom.

Now up, Phil covering the bittersweet tune, ‘Twilight’, by Elliott Smith.

Ronnie Thompson, author of Screwed, has given Exile Parade a glowing report in the press.

We were the soundtrack to the film adaptation of his book and hopefully we’ll be working with him again – he’s directing his next film in London at the moment.

He said: “Exile Parade inspire me. They make me want to tell good stories and change people’s lives.

“I’ve not heard rock n roll like this since I was a teenager living my hedonistic youth through the Brit pop years.

“These lads are the real deal. Rock n roll at its very fucking best that cannot be ignored.

“They have a place in all my movies – they have a place on the world stage”

We’ve finally done it! After many months of recording, our debut album is now complete. Amongst the cast of thousands, great thanks and recognition must go to Owen Morris (production), Marco Migliari (production), Dave Bascombe (mix) and Drew Lavyne (mastering). We hope to have it released sometime this year so keep checking back for news updates.

Exile Parade are on the silver screen! Best-selling author Ronnie Thompson has chosen our music for the soundtrack of the film adaptation of his book, Screwed. Ronnie’s books are ferocious and they’ve got a quality cast and director so we’re honoured to be the soundtrack for it. Off to the premiere in London on Monday….

Screwed:

The film is a semi-biographical story based on the experiences of former prison guard Ronnie Thompson who spent seven years working in some of the UK’s most dangerous prisons. Based on Thompson’s book of the same name, the project stars James D’Arcy (Master & Commander), Noel Clarke (Kidulthood), Frank Harper (The Football Factory), Jamie Foreman (Layer Cake), Andrew Shim (This Is England) and Kate Magowan (Stardust). The story revolves around former soldier Sam Norwood who takes a job as a prison officer when he returns from Iraq and becomes exposed to the underworld of prison culture – including corrupt guards and drug trafficking.
